2019 Retirees: Ms.Lovins

*Due to a recent buyout initiative offered to various teachers in the L’Anse Creuse district, L’Anse Creuse High School- North will be saying goodbye to eleven retiring teachers. All upcoming retirees were contacted by the North Star staff and asked if they would like to have a last interview with the North Star published as a way to recap on their memories and years of teaching as well as a way for the North Star to keep their memory present in crusader nation. The North Star wishes nothing but the best for our future retirees as they start a new and exciting chapter of life.

What department do you teach in?



Advice you have for future teachers or students?

Teachers: “[probably to] not let the job stress you out too much…don’t let it get you down. Focus on the positive part which is helping the kids.”

Students: “Try to actually enjoy math because it can be a lot of fun…and ask for help if they need it.”


What will you miss most about teaching?

[The] kids. Mainly watching their faces when they understand something that’s difficult.


How would you like your students to remember you?

“That I made them work hard, but that the hard work was worth it in the end…I really did enjoy teaching math, and I had fun doing it.”
