    Hurricane Dorian has become one of the worst Tropical Storms in the United States with a high wind speed of 183 miles per hour. The hurricane started August 24th and dissipated on September 10th. Dorian hovered over the Bahamas for about 24 hours. The hurricane caused catastrophic damage to Grand Bahama and the Abaco Islands, with at least 70,000 people left homeless and leaving at least 50 people dead.  Hurricane Dorian moved from the Florida coast up to the Carolinas and then up to Canada. After hitting the Bahamas, Dorian slowly decreased itself down from a category 5 storm to a category 1. Dorian was a hurricane for a total of nine days. Hurricane Dorian was the fourth named storm, second hurricane, and the first major hurricane of the 2019 Atlantic hurricane season. The affected areas of this storm were the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Greenland, Iceland, East Coast of the United States, Lesser Antilles, Atlantic Canada.
