Daylight Saving Time will be starting this Sunday March 14th, at 2:00 AM.

Our clocks will be “springing forward”, and we will be losing an hour to adjust the amount of sunlight we get everyday.

Daylight saving time (DST) was implemented as a way to help farmers use as much of the natural daylight as possible. The clocks are moved forward an hour in the Spring to get more sun earlier in the day. As the days get longer as the summer equinox approaches, there will be more sun in the evening.

Daylight saving time is a nationally recognized event, though some states are fighting to get rid of it. While there is no clear end in sight regarding daylight saving time, many still argue against it every year.

Don’t forget to turn your clocks forward an hour Saturday night.
