The popular 90’s sitcom, “Friends”, held a reunion special between the executives of the show and the main cast. “Friends” first aired in 1994 and ran for 10 years, and ended in 2004 with ten seasons. The sitcom has become a staple in American pop culture, and has fans of all ages.

The reunion special was hosted by James Corden and took place in front of the famous fountain from the opening credit of the show. Special guests were brought onto the special like Maggie Wheeler, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, and even Reese Witherspoon. These guests had roles in the sitcom and some even interacted with the cast. Tom Selleck was brought out by having the main cast guess his identity by a phone call. Other guests included Malala Yousafzai, Justin Bieber, and Mindy Kaling. These celebrity guests were included to share their favorite episodes and reminisce along with the main cast and audience.

Along with a majority of the fandom, I wish the reunion episode was conducted as an extra episode taking place twenty years in the future instead of it being more of an interview and the actors reminiscing instead of the characters. The reunion was still amazing to watch and it was so great to see the actors together again even if it wasn’t them reprising their roles. I definitely recommend the reunion to fans of the show, and the reunion as well as the entirety of the “Friends” series is available on HBOMa
