Senior Spring Break

Senior+Spring+Break

The first day of Spring was just a few days ago. The snow is finally melting, the weather is starting to be warmer, but for students, the most exciting thing about spring is spring break. Spring break is right around the corner, and students could not be happier. Everyone is anxiously trying to get through the last week of school before that final school bell rings, and spring break officially begins. All students, no matter the age, are eagerly waiting for spring break, but no one wants spring break to come more than the Seniors at L’Anse Creuse High School-North.

Senioritis is really starting to kick in, and the only thing these seniors can think about is that wonderful week off of school for spring break. For them, this is their last big school break before they go off to college, trades, or wherever they plan to go after high school. Since this is their last spring break of high school, or maybe even their last spring break ever, many of the seniors have some exciting things planned.

When it came to spring break plans most seniors had the same idea, to escape the cold weather here in Michigan. Many seniors are going to all types of fun, tropical places like Mexico, Florida, Myrtle Beach, Punta Cana, Hawaii, and some are even going on cruises. However, some seniors had the opposite idea. A few seniors plan on spending their spring break skiing and snowboarding.

With plans like these, it makes sense that the seniors are so excited for their spring breaks to start. Roger Silvestro, a senior at LCN, is going to Cancún Mexico with his family and friends. He states, “I am most excited to enjoy the sun and the nice weather, along with spending time with my friends and family. This is my second trip to Cancún, and I am so ready to go again!”

Senior Adam Koch is going on a cruise to Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao. Koch states he is “excited to leave Michigan” and can’t wait to explore all of the islands his cruise is going to. He says, “It will be fun spending a week with my friends and eating a ton of good food.”

Matt Kiewski is one of LCN’s seniors that will be spending his break in the cold. Kiewski is going to a resort at Boyne Mountain where he will be skiing, snowboarding, teaching young skiers, and enjoying all of the other activities the resort has to offer. Kiewski says, “I’m looking forward to spending time with my family. We are also having our close family friends from Alabama join us at Boyne for their spring break.” For Kiewski, making memories with his friends and family before he goes off to college is what his spring break is all about.

The class of 2023 is going out with a bang for their senior spring break. It’s no wonder the seniors cannot wait for the break to begin. The wait is hard, but break is only a few days away, so hang in there!
